We are currently seeking to employ a Project Engineer with industry experience to work in a busy Projects office within our Derbyshire based Head Office.

The Project Engineers role is to provide support the sales company to ensure that all bid proposals and proposals are technically correct, commercially viable as well as being thoroughly planned and executed.

As a key member of staff you will be able to work independently with minimal supervision. The post will include taking responsibility for a broad range of major and minor engineering projects with tasks varying from initial project estimation and tender submission through to final contract negotiation and project design. Reporting directly to the Projects Director, the post will also include interacting directly with Design, Manufacturing and Sales departments within the MMD Group as well as direct sales activities with customers and sub-contractors.

The successful candidate will have relevant engineering qualifications and experience, flexible attitude and will be willing to travel world wide. AutoCAD and Microsoft Office skills are required, and experience in 3D computer modeling is a distinct advantage.

The successful applicant should demonstrate good team working skills and versatility to fit in with the existing team of buyers of industrial equipment. CIPS coursework or Diploma (or equivalent) advantageous. Familiarity with engineering or manufacturing processes would be beneficial but not mandatory. Experience is preferable, but not essential.

Salary: upwards of £18k depending on experience.

The ideal applicant will work with our experienced team in the Technical headquarters for the MMD Group, and be a recent graduate with a degree in mechanical engineering and will be willing to be trained in Mechanical Engineering disciplines including Finite Element Analysis.

Initial Salary circa £24,000.

To work with our team in the technical headquarters for the MMD Group on design and development of mining machinery. An opportunity has arisen for an ambitious experienced engineer with approximately 4 years + experience in this field with appropriate Mechanical Engineering qualifications. Experience in CAD and SolidWorks is advantageous. A flexible attitude and a willingness to travel internationally if required is essential.

Salary commensurate with experience. Circa £37,500 - £40,000.
